It’s the third night the Shuckers are playing at their home stadium and even on a Monday night, the fans are still coming out to support.
After what’s seemed like forever, the Biloxi Shuckers are finally here to stay. The Shuckers opened up MGM Park with their inaugural home series this past weekend.
The Shuckers will continue their series against the Mobile Bay Bears tonight. First pitch is set for 7:10. News 25’s Shelby Myers joins us live from MGM Park, where the Shuckers are finishing up batting practice.
Coast Transit Authority is offering FREE shuttle services on its Casino Hopper Route tomorrow from 5:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.

After Wednesday’s announcement the city couldn’t afford to speed up construction, a deal between city officials and the Shuckers was struck, now the nearly $300,000 the city owed the team will be going towards construction.

Presented with the prospect of paying at least $300,000 to have MGM Park ready for an early opening June 6 with no guarantee that the work could be done in time, Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich announced today that the City of Biloxi will instead work with Yates Construction toward an opening before Aug 4.
