MGM Park Gets an Outfield

Thanks to the sod put in this week, MGM Park is now starting to look a lot like a baseball field.
Today Yates Construction put the finishing touches on the new outfield.
The sod was laid this week as the park prepares for the Shucker’s opening game set for June 6th. A sky view shows the progress Yates Construction has made, but there’s still a laundry list of items still yet to be completed.
Project Executive for Yates Construction, Jason Wold, said “there are things that you can’t see that inside the building. All the player facilities, the visitor facilities, the press box, the kitchen and concessions, so there’s a lot of work left in there. Out here there’s on the field, putting the grass down is one of several steps to complete it. We still have the warning track, all the protection padding that goes down around the outfield fence and the concrete walls.
