City of Biloxi Hopes to Make Opening Day Enjoyable for Everyone

With just three days until the first Shuckers home game, the city of Biloxi wants to ensure all local residents will have a safe and hassle free game day experience.
While the number of seats for the actual game are limited, Mayor Gilich says all are invited to be a part of the pre-game celebrations in the Vieux Marche area. For those attending the game, everyone will get into the stadium through the north entrance.
Whether you’re inside or outside the stadium the city promises a good time for all.
F.Cliff Kirkland with Main Street Association said, “There’s going to be a lot of people who won’t be able to attend the game. Well this is going to be a tremendous alternative for them. For those who are going to attend the game, it’s a perfect opportunity to get their engines revved up beforehand. We’re going to have games for kids and adults, we’re going to have batting cages, and we’re going to have pitching machines. We’re going to have a kid’s game area.”
Pre-game festivities start at 12:45 in the afternoon. The gate for the game opens at 5.
