Sod goes down at MGM park

Just a few weeks ago it was just a dust outline and now the field at MGM Park is really starting to take shape, as sod was finally laid down.
“We’re excited,” said Tim Bennett, Co-Owner of the Biloxi Shuckers, “Everything is coming together. The grass is going on the field, the seats are in, the suites are being finished, and the lights are on. Real exciting time for us to be at this point.”
Additions like the player facilities, press box, and concessions still have to go up, along with the warning track, scoreboard, netting and padding. Even with so much left to do, team officials see the light at the end of the tunnel, bringing the Shuckers to the Coast, to play at home.
Yates Construction stresses the safety of players and fans are their top priority. Even if the June 6th date is met, the stadium will be a work in progress, until the finishing touches are done. But the construction company is doing everything they can to welcome fans through the gates on Opening Day.
Individual game tickets go on sale May 13th for Shuckers home games. You can get tickets at the team store located inside the C-T-A building as well as at all Ticketmaster outlets.
