Biloxi Shuckers

The Shuckers will continue their series against the Mobile Bay Bears tonight. First pitch is set for 7:10. News 25’s Shelby Myers joins us live from MGM Park, where the Shuckers are finishing up batting practice.

Tomorrow is the big day. The city of Biloxi will welcome their division leading Shuckers home to play their first game at MGM Park.

Construction crews are working tirelessly to make the Shuckers home opener a day to remember.

With just three days until the first Shuckers home game, the city of Biloxi wants to ensure all local residents will have a safe and hassle free game day experience.

It’s a day sure to go down in history for downtown Biloxi. In just five days, the Biloxi Shuckers will finally play in their home stadium Opening Day kicks off with an ultimate tailgate party presented by the Beau Rivage and Main Street Biloxi.

After Wednesday’s announcement the city couldn’t afford to speed up construction, a deal between city officials and the Shuckers was struck, now the nearly $300,000 the city owed the team will be going towards construction.

Shuckers baseball will be a go for June 6th after all.

This afternoon Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich announced that MGM Park will not be ready for baseball on Saturday, June 6th.

The Biloxi Shuckers 55 game road trip could be extended for a few more weeks.

Will Biloxi baseball fans have a place to park their cars and trucks when the Shuckers stadium opens next month?

Thanks to the sod put in this week, MGM Park is now starting to look a lot like a baseball field.

Acting Mayor Robert Deming is voicing concern saying the tentative June 6th date for MGM Park may be premature.
