Shuckers First Homestand a Success

The Biloxi Shuckers currently hold a five game lead in the Southern League with ten games remaining in the first half.
Despite yesterday’s loss, the Shuckers won their inaugural homestand against the Mobile Bay Bears 3 games to 2. 17, 146 fans came out over the five day span to cheer on their team at home for the first time. After a gruelingly long road trip, the team says they are more than happy to be home and playing in front of a crowd like they’ve never experience before.
Shuckers Manager Carlos Subero said, “It makes all this time away from home worth it. I think everyone in general is just excited, even our front office, everybody being able to have a brand new ball park and the way it’s set up for our kids to develop in a good environment is going to be very important.”
