MSDH reports 2,071 new COVID-19 cases and 42 deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 2,071 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 42 deaths. Twenty-four of those deaths occurred between September 12th and September 21st. An additional 18 deaths occurred between July 13th and September 13th, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 481,397 with 9,395 deaths.
