09/22 Ryan’s “Finally Fall” Wednesday Evening Forecast
The autumnal equinox has finally arrived and a cold front has brought some mid-to-late fall weather a bit early.
It is finally fall in South Mississippi and we usually have to wait longer for some fall-like weather. That’s not the case this year as a well-timed cold front came through early this morning, bringing down the temperature and dewpoint. It will continue to fall through the night, leading to a cool and crisp overnight low near 57.
Tomorrow afternoon will feel more like a late October afternoon with an afternoon high near 79 with more low humidity.
The temperature falls even more as we head towards the end of the week, bottoming out in the mid 50s at night and around 78 for Friday afternoon. After that we’ll start heading in the other direction as light return flow sets up Saturday. Southerly winds will continue to bring in slightly warmer, more humid air into the start of next week, but even then the chances will still be a significant improvement over the last several weeks.
