After nearly two years of operating out of a cramped temporary space, the Wiggins Police Department will soon move into a brand new building to help them fight crime.

CMR certifies two state fishing records

BILOXI, Miss. – The state Commission on Marine Resources certified two conventional tackle state fishing records at its meeting Tuesday. John Joseph Bullock of Gulfport broke the record for Gray snapper with a 15-pound, 7.79-ounce fish. The previous record was 14 pounds, 7 ounces. Kerry G. Hester of Ocean Springs established a state record for Fat sleeper with a fish that weighed 1.058 ounces.

Waveland Woman Killed

On Monday, 08-17-2015, at approximately 9:50 PM, 51 year old Becky Paulk was hit and killed by a vehicle on Waveland Avenue just North of Donlard Street in Waveland.
