Pascagoula Woman Makes NFL History

A Pascagoula native made history over the weekend as the first full-time female referee in the NFL.
Sarah Thomas, who is originally from Pascagoula, will serve as a full-time on the field official in the NFL. She made her debut Saturday as a line judge in the Cardinals and Chiefs preseason game.
Her NFL officiating uniform number is 53.
