Dave Elliott has made a significant impact on Mississippi journalism over more than 40 years in the industry. The Minnesota native moved to Mississippi in 1980 to work at WZZQ FM radio and became the host of PM Magazine at WJTV in Jackson in 1983. He moved to WLOX in Biloxi in 1985 where he served as a news anchor and feature reporter until 2024. As host of a weekly Sunday morning politics news show, Dave covered politics around the state and moderated election debates on local, state and federal levels. Twice recognized by the Magnolia Tribune as one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Mississippians,” he is well-regarded as a leader in the industry and across the state. Additionally, he was honored with induction into the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcast Association Hall of Fame, securing his legacy among the state’s top journalists.
When he’s not at work, Dave enjoys golfing, watching sports, traveling, reading and spending time with his wife and son.
