Thursday afternoon, Fofo Gilich became the first Biloxi resident to file paperwork declaring his intent to run for mayor in the special election scheduled for April 28th.
The swearing in ceremony took place Wednesday for newly elected officials for the City of Waveland, just one day after the election.
Mayoral candidates, Democrat, Mike Smith, and Republican, Jay Trapani, along with other candidates for each race, gathered outside the Waveland fire station, greeting residents as they went to vote.
