7/21 – Jeff’s “Hot, Turning Unsettled” Weekend Forecast

Hot and humid conditions continue into the first part of the weekend. Heat alerts will be in effect for some of tomorrow due to sunshine and the hot pattern. Overnight, clouds will clear and temperatures will remain uncomfortable. The first part of your Saturday will be uneventful and just plain hot.

Thunderstorm chances begin to increase in the afternoon. A front will be making its way into our region while ridge of high pressure breaks down. The combination of the two will lead to showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms could contain gusty winds and very heavy rainfall. Be sure to head indoors if you see lightning or hear thunder!

Sunday will still bring scattered thunderstorm chances. Dry time will be around but rain chances will still remain elevated through the day. Monday will revert back to a normal pattern and high pressure will gradually build back in next week. There is the potential for very hot temperatures again in the extended.
