Expect on and off heavy downpours tonight into Monday morning. Your morning commute could be quite wet, so plan accordingly. The best chance for rain on Monday will be during the morning and early afternoon. The rain could be very heavy at times and flash flooding could become an issue. By Monday night into Tuesday we start to dry out although a few downpours are possible on Tuesday. Wednesday a front will move into the area and bump up rain chances again. Thursday and Friday look dry with lower humidity! Saturday and Sunday it looks like we get hot and humid again with a few popup t-storms.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Dorian a little stronger tonight as it moves west, but still struggling. The storm will fight a lot of dry air and wind shear as it enters the Caribbean this week. It’s possible the system dissipates quite a bit once it enters the Caribbean. Right now I’m not too concerned with Dorian being an issue for the Gulf Coast. It has a lot to go through, so we’ll just keep an eye on it. With that being said, these little cyclones can be very tricky to forecast. How strong it is before it interacts with the shear and dry air could play a significant role in what it does later this week and into Labor Day week.
