2/27 – Rob’s “Cooler” Tuesday Morning Forecast

The heat and humidity will be back in the area as a warm front lifts out of the gulf today. This may be late in the day for most of the area. There could be a few thunderstorms associated with this boundary as it moves slowly through the region, but they should stay west with only a passing shower in the viewing area. The main areas of rain will slide north of the area overnight into northern Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi where the warm frontal boundary which will become stationary.

Another cold front will move through the area Thursday with a line of thunderstorms decaying as they move toward the area. Conditions through Saturday look relatively good as far as inclement weather. The old frontal boundary over the central gulf looks to move north as a new front approaches. The warm front will help bring another round of sh/ts to the area by Monday. This is where global models begin to drastically disagree. Overall it looks like the activity will be in the area Monday through mid-week.
