Pete Buttigieg to rally with Scott Colom on Mississippi Coast next week

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) – Former U.S. Transportation Secretary and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg is scheduled to visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast next week for a campaign rally with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Scott Colom.

According to Colom’s campaign, the rally will take place Tuesday, Oct. 27. Organizers say Buttigieg and Colom will discuss issues affecting Mississippians, including the cost of living, government policy, and voter turnout ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3rd.

The event follows Buttigieg’s endorsement of Colom earlier this year, according to the campaign.

Doors are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Oct. 27. Campaign officials say the rally will be held in Biloxi, though a specific location has not yet been announced.

Colom, a district attorney and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, is seeking to rally supporters in the final days before Mississippi voters head to the polls.

WXXV News 25 will provide coverage of the rally and any additional event details as they become available.
