12/18 Ryan’s “Cool & Clear” Wednesday Forecast

Today was nice, cool & clear with plenty of sun, but tonight is going to freezing! Literally freezing in fact, with lows falling to near 30 degrees on the waterfront and into the upper 20s inland.

Temperatures will only stay below freezing for a few hours on the coastline so protecting the “three P’s” isn’t dire, but bringing in outdoor pets is always nice.

We are beginning a warming trend though, so with on one or two exceptions we’ll be warmer each day and night. This trend will continue through Christmas, which appears to be at least mostly sunny and warm with a high near 70. The only exception will come this weekend as a low pressure system in the Gulf brings cloud cover and rain. Current projections have this happening early Saturday morning, but upper level features will keep clouds and rain overhead through a good bit of Sunday.
