11/28 – Jeff’s “Freeze Warning Overnight” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast
Another cool and breezy afternoon will be in store for us. Temperatures will be similar to yesterday but winds will be slightly more tolerable. Lots of sunshine will yield to clear skies overnight and winds will back off for the most part overnight. With that, a Freeze Warning is in effect for our entire area from 1 AM through 7 AM tonight, and George and Stone County’s alert beginning at 12 AM.
Stone and George County are excluded from this due to already recording a freeze. Sunshine will dominate early on Wednesday before cloud cover moves in. Winds will also be shifting as high pressure in the region moves east. This will help modify the pattern and usher in more moisture and humidity.
A more unsettled picture arrives for the end of the week. A train of storm systems will make their way into and through our region from Thursday through Sunday. Rain chances begin by Thursday afternoon, peak Friday and Saturday, and gradually exit the area by Sunday with the passage of the final cold front. Our area could receive appreciable rainfall in excess of 3 inches.
