02/18 Ryan’s “Rainy Week” Monday Evening Forecast
If you’re looking for sunshine you’re in for some disappointment as we get ready for a rainy week. A cold front moved through overnight and brought some northerly winds and cooler temperatures, but it won’t bring any clearer skies.
That boundary is already transitioning into a warm front and will begin moving across South MS tomorrow bringing increased rain chances.
By Wednesday evening the cold front associated with this system moves in and will bring thunderstorms with a “marginal” threat for severe weather. Unfortunately this front won’t fully pass through and bring any drier air either. As the front moves in it will transition into a stationary boundary and will keep decent rain chances and cloudy skies in place through the weekend. We’ll have to wait until next week before we’ll see any noticeable change, and even that will be short-lived as yet another system will be developing upstream. It’s seriously looking like we may not see a significantly clearer and drier day until early next month.
