Coast Transit Authority announces extension to Route 7

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Coast Transit Authority announced they will extend Route 7’s service to Division Street in Biloxi.

That is set to take place effective November 16.

CTA will celebrate a maiden ride at 10 a.m. and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

This updated route will depart from the Biloxi Transit Center north on Reynoir Street, east on Division, and south on Oak Street before continuing along Highway 90 to Ocean Springs.

It will then loop at the Walmart fare zone and return to the Biloxi Transit Center.

CTA officials say this extension will improve access to healthcare services, the Salvation Army Kroc Center, and local restaurants and businesses.
