01/25 Ryan’s “Rainy” Wednesday Night Forecast

The last few days have been clear and warm, but a rainy night ahead will bring cooler temperatures for the weekend and beyond. I’m expecting tonight’s front to be on the way out by midnight, and only a few showers across the area as it moves through. Tomorrow will be instantly cooler, with our morning low starting around 51 and our afternoon high only rising to 62. Expect the cooling to continue through the weekend, with our days dropping into the upper 50s and staying there through the beginning of next week. Nights will be significantly cooler. By tomorrow (Thursday) night we’ll have already fallen into the upper 30s, where we will remain until round Tuesday of next week. I expect all of South MS to remain above freezing throughout the forecast period, though some of the far Northern areas will get close. As ridging continues to build through the middle of the week, temperatures will begin climbing back into the mid to upper 60s, foreshadowing an “above average” weekend. Other than that, no active weather is expected until next weekend, which is a bit long for this time of year.
