8/4 – Jeff’s “Very Hot Conditions Continue” Weekend Forecast

The humidity will be unrelenting tonight into this weekend. Temperatures will struggle to cool below 80 for much of you. This combined with another day of hot temperatures has our area under an Excessive Heat Warning again, from 11 AM until 7 PM. Heat indices will reach, and exceed the 110 degree mark.

Saturday and Sunday will bring similar dangerous heat and 30-40% thunderstorm chances. Sunshine and unrelenting heat/humidity will be the main issue. Stay safe in the heat by being hydrated, limiting time outdoors, and not overexerting yourself outdoors.

The pattern will finally begin to change towards the early-to-middle portions of next week. It will become more unsettled with elevated rain chances in the picture Tuesday – Thursday. The tropics remain very quiet as dry air and wind shear dominate the Atlantic Basin.
