8/14 – Rob’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

An area of high-pressure to the south continues to dominate so typical summer weather expected, hot humid and hazy. Heat index values will stay within 100-105F the next couple of days as well. Wednesday should be a transition day as rain potential will increase with the threat for an isolated thunderstorm could cause some strong straight line winds. Storm motion is expected to be small and erratic until Friday but coverage should be relatively average for this time of year through the weekend and possibly into early next week.

The extended portion of the forecast has a cold front moving toward the area by mid-week next week. Not sure at this time if it will stall before or over the area but it will help keep precip numbers up.
