7/27 – Rob’s Thursday Afternoon Forecast

As an area of high-pressure to our south continues to move towards the NW’tern Gulf of Mexico, the moisture flow will cut off. This will also bring OPPRESSIVE HEAT to the region with HIGH HEAT INDICES above 100 degrees though Friday evening.

REMEMBER: Hydrate, seek shade and take periodic breaks if working or playing outdoors. Also, keep an eye on each other.

A RARE summertime cold front will move into the area Saturday, providing for showers/t-storms from midday through late night. By Sunday morning the front should move over the sound…with a DRIER air mass moving into the region. Rain potential will remain low after frontal passage through early next week.
