6/4 – Heavy Rainfall likely from Tropical Disturbance in the Gulf.

Another hot one with highs in the mid 90s. We might see a few downpours popup this afternoon and evening, but the chance is rather low. Wednesday there is a low chance for a few showers during the morning and high chances of heavy rain and a few t-storms during the afternoon and evening. Rain chances will be likely Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon. The heaviest rain looks like it will fall Thursday. This is all thinks to the tropical disturbance near Brownsville. The chance it develops into a tropical depression is very low, but regardless the moisture will still head in our direction. The area will see widespread two to four inches of rain, but we’ll see a few locations with higher amounts. This could lead to localized flash flooding, especially in the spots that have poor drainage. The rain and clouds will also knock down temperatures Thursday and Friday into the mid to lower 80s. This weekend we warm back up with a mix of sun, clouds and scattered showers and t-storms.
