5/30 – Rob’s “Wet” Wednesday Forecast

On and off showers are possible this afternoon as we continue to get daytime heating. The strongest storms could have gusty winds, lightning and heavy downpours. Because the area has received rain multiple days in a row, flash flooding is also a concern. These showers and thunderstorms will taper of tonight as we lose daytime heating, but Thursday will be similar today with a chance for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.

As we head into the weekend, the weather pattern remains in place with pop up showers and thunderstorms possible each day this weekend. After Saturday a cold front will start to make its way into the region. Right now it appears this will increase rain chances, with the best chances Sunday night into Monday. Unsettled weather will stick around for the beginning of next week, but eventually transitions into a drier pattern for a few days.
