2/26 – Rob Knight’s “Return of Rain/T-Storms” Morning Forecast

Isolated rain will continue with a few t–storms developing around midday. A weak area of lift will move across this morning through early afternoon and even though some thunderstorms could contain hail, most are expected to be small. By noon, things look to ease with respect to any strong or severe t-storms. A stronger area of lift moves into the area around 9pm today through 6am Wed. This area may stay along and west of the Mississippi River.

After tonight and early Wed, severity numbers are low and only weak areas of lift will exist. But rainfall and wet conditions will continue. The rain should be in waves as weak disturbances move over the area for the next several days. A cold front may move through Sat night or Sunday. This front could be in the form of a dual wave with the first moving to the coast and stalling Friday evening. This feature is quite subtle though. The second, more significant front then moves in for Saturday night or Sunday.
