11/15 – Rob Knight’s Weekend/Warming Forecast

Sunny skies and cool temperatures ahead this afternoon…

The forecast for the next 3 days is quiet. Saturday night into Sunday we will begin to see some rather decent upper-level cloud coverage as the upper-level moisture flow intensifies across east TX and LA. This will have an impact on high temps Sunday…keep it in the lower to mid-60s at this time. Overall the forecast continues to look quiet next week. The one question before was rain chances overnight Sunday and into the morning hours Monday but that is looking less likely now as models have really converged on a dry forecast. Even with the strength in question given how dry the atmosphere will be going into Sunday night.

For now, I’m going to remove all mention of rain from the forecast for that time frame. The rest of the week will be dry and quiet with high-pressure expected over the central CONUS by Tuesday night and then return flow setting back up Wednesday. This would suggest a decent moderation of the atmosphere over our area with near normal temps around the middle and 2nd half of the week.
