08/19 Ryan’s “Cooler, Drier” Wednesday Night Forecast
You likely didn’t even notice, but it was slightly cooler this afternoon! We didn’t see much rain in the southern Counties, but a sea breeze induced thunderstorm did pop up to the north. We’ll see more rain in the days ahead which will lead to even cooler highs, but not much cooler. Tonight’s low will fall to 72 degrees with partly cloudy skies and light northerly winds. Tomorrow’s high remains near average at 90 degrees, but rain chances climb slightly above average to 40%.
THIS RAIN IS DUE TO A LINGERING FRONT AND SOME DEVELOPING UPPER LEVEL FEATURES, WHICH WILL REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGH FRIDAY.
Saturday looks a little less active, but even then there will still be a few afternoon showers. Next week is looking pretty rainy as well, with even more enhanced afternoon activity expected. We’re also watching a few tropical waves that will likely move into the Gulf by the middle of the week. Too early to know specifics, but it’s going to be close.
