07/22 Ryan’s “Tropical Moisture” Wednesday Forecast

Today wasn’t anything special rain-wise, but that changes soon thanks to incoming tropical moisture. That’ll translate into more cloud cover and a slight chance of showers tonight, and a warmer low near 78. Tomorrow afternoon though is were things really get going. Expect a cooler high near 87 as overcast skies and all-day rain move in.

Rainfall for any given day doesn’t look significant, but will add up.

Expect upwards of five inches possible in South MS buy Sunday, so flooding could be an issue. All activity will be sub-severe, but could get gusty as the tropical wave develops. This “wet trend” lasts until next week before things get back to normal. That means by Monday we’ll be back to hot, humid days with only afternoon showers.
