04/10 Ryan’s “Hotter” Wednesday Forecast

It was a little hotter today than even I expected as temperatures rose into the mid 80s. The sunshine and warmer weather isn’t going anywhere in the short term, but slightly cooler weather moves in as cloud cover thickens into the weekend.

Expect more cloudless skies tomorrow, but cloud cover thickens considerably Friday afternoon.

This is due to a frontal system slowly creeping in from the Plains, but it looks like it’ll eject to the northeast before moving through. It is trailing another developing system out of Southern TX and the Western Gulf, which will bring more warm moist air into the area Saturday morning and eventually heavy showers/thunderstorms Saturday evening. The cloud cover and rain lingers until Sunday morning when the last front of the front finally moves through, ushering in some slightly cooler and drier air. That means while we start next week much sunnier, the clouds don’t stay away long and we’ll see rain chances return as early as Wednesday.
