03/13 Ryan’s “Windy” Wednesday Evening Forecast

It’s been a windy afternoon so far and it only increases through the night. Skies are grey and heavy and visibility already being affected by the high humidity, but the the rain and thunderstorms are still hours away. All of these conditions will continue into tomorrow as we await a cold front currently moving through the Plains.

This system has already brought severe weather to other parts of the country, and small sections of the northern South MS counties remain under a “marginal” risk for severe weather tomorrow.

Regardless of whether or not we see any, still expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusting winds as the front moves through tomorrow evening. The tail-end of this boundary lingers in the Northern Gulf after it passes, so cloud cover and a moderate chance of showers will remain through Friday and into the first part of Saturday before any significant sunshine returns. Don’t worry though, by St. Patrick’s Day the sun returns and will remain through the middle of the week when we usher in the official start of Spring!
