02/17 Ryan’s “Wet, Stormy” Wednesday Night Forecast

Quite the turnaround from yesterday with its clear skies and sunshine as stormy, wet weather moves in tonight. This event even carries a “slight” risk of severe weather for the area, but the risk has diminished considerably sine the afternoon.

Still, expect a few rumbles of thunder and if any storm “overachieves,” hail would be the most likely outcome with the low freezing level and low level vertical motion.

Tomorrow will begin cloudy with at least a few showers drifting inland, and will be cooler with a high near 50. The clouds will slowly clear through the day, leading to a mostly clear night, and a much cooler low near 31 degrees. This starts a few nights of below freezing temperatures, with cool, sunny afternoons to end the week. Next week will see one small round of activity Monday night, but will otherwise be considerably warmer and less cloudy.
