Ryan’s “Hot Hump Day” Forecast

At this point we are still under a heat advisory until 7 PM, though sadly the forecast calls for even more hot & humid days. Tonight will be slightly cooler than it was last night, low near 80, with cloud cover clearing slightly as well. As we head into tomorrow, the heat advisory returns from 10:30 AM until 7 PM, meaning the heat index will again reach temperatures between 105 to 110 degrees. Caution should be taken to protect yourself from long term outdoor exposure, and the video I’ve attached to this forecast has some tips for staying cool. Not much changes for the rest of the week. We’ll continue to see hot and humid days, but cloud cover will begin to increase as we approach the weekend, meaning we’ll be able to begin cooling off by a few degrees during the day. Afternoon showers will also help with localized cooling, and will be expected nearly every afternoon during the hottest parts of the day (usually a small percent, between 20-30, but it increases to 40% for Sunday and Monday). By the middle of next week, we’ll be a little bit cooler than we are now, but we still have a long way to go before Summer ends.
