Ryan’s “Heat Advisory Wednesday” Forecast

This afternoon’s heat advisory expired at 7 pm, but “feels like” conditions remained near 100 degrees well into the night for Gulfport and Biloxi. I’m expecting gradually clearing skies this evening which will help us barely dip into the uppers 70s just before sunrise. The heat will return tomorrow, but temperatures are expected to remain near 91 tomorrow, with a 30% chance of further afternoon storms. The temperature will increase slightly as we head through the weekend and into the beginning of next week, maxing out on Sunday with a high near 93, before increased clouds and showers help cool things off as we approach midweek, returning the afternoon high to 90 by next Wednesday. Hurricane Earl formed this afternoon and is currently approaching Belize with winds in excess of 75 mph. Earl is expected to continue his Westward track and will likely become a post tropical depression by Thursday afternoon as it heads into the Bay of Campeche. Some re-intensification is likely around this time, but not much more will be expected of Earl as he heads across Southern Mexico. No local impact from Earl is expected at this time.
