Rain this afternoon and the latest on Tropical Storm Dorian
FORECAST: Expect more rounds of heavy rain this afternoon. Some locations have already picked up over 3-4 inches since this morning, so flash flooding could be an issue for some. By this evening the rain starts to move out, but a few downpours are still possible tonight and Tuesday. By Wednesday a front will move through and rain chances will elevate once again, but by Thursday and Friday expect sunshine and lower humidity! This weekend we switch back to the humid and hot pattern with afternoon t-storms.
TROPICS: All eyes will be on Dorian this weekend and into the weekend. The latest update on Tropical Storm Dorian still calls for a hurricane by Tuesday as it approaches the Greater Antilles. The big question is does Dorian squeeze between Puerto Rico and the mountains of Hispaniola. If the storm can hold together through the Caribbean and move into The Bahamas, the U.S. could be at looking at a strengthening system by next week. Certainly something to keep a close eye on, but still many unknowns and questions about the forecast track and intensity of this storm. Still plenty of time to watch this thing.
