Nightly closures of Fort Bayou Bridge begin Tuesday

Just a reminder for Jackson County drivers, nightly closures of the Fort Bayou Drawbridge begin tomorrow night. The bridge will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for maintenance. The bridge will be open on those days during the regular daytime hours. Teenage drowning victim identified in Kiln

A teen’s body was recovered from a pond at a dirt pit in the Kiln last night. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Aydin Stallings, per our media partner the Sun Herald.
