11/14 Ryan’s “Freeze Warning” Wednesday Night Forecast
Yesterday’s Freeze Watch has been upgraded to a Freeze Warning due to temperatures falling to freezing or below across the coast tonight. Clouds will linger initially, but as drier air moves in and the cloud cover thins we’ll rapidly cool to our low of 32 degrees on the waterfront.
THAT MEANS INLAND AREAS FAR REMOVED FROM THE WARMTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI SOUND WILL FALL EVEN LOWER INTO THE MID-TO-LOWER 20S.
Temperatures this low can be unsafe, so please take the extra time to protect your “three Ps:” bring in sensitive plants, bring in outdoor pets, and check on elderly neighbors (important in more rural areas). The dangerously cold conditions will only last a night or so, but we’ll remain in the 30s each night until Saturday. The afternoons won’t be so bad though.
THURSDAY’S HIGH WILL CLIMB INTO THE MID 50S, AND WE’LL SLOWLY WARM FROM THERE BACK INTO THE 70S BY MONDAY.
That’ll also be the first time we’ll begin seeing any significant cloud cover moving in and even then it won’t exceed “mostly sunny” until the middle of next week. It won’t be until next Wednesday that the first chance of rain shows up, and with it only being 20% it looks like we’ll be enjoying much drier weather for a while.
