Pass Christian Cruises Past Purvis 55-19 and improves to 2-0

The Pass Christian Pirates hosted the Purvis Tornadoes for their Week Two clash. With six minutes remaining in the first half, Purvis looked to move the football, but the Pirates’ defense came up with a big play. Nash Teater flipped a pass to Slade Thompson, but Kedarrius Holmes and Kaiden Mooney were waiting, combining for a huge tackle for loss.

With two minutes left before halftime, quarterback Paris Trivillion took over.

Using both his legs and his vision, Trivillion maneuvered through the Purvis defense, showing his receivers where to go before cutting back and bouncing off defenders. He stayed on his feet long enough to pick up a big first down for the Pirates.

On the very next play, the snap was dropped, but Trivillion once again turned a broken play into a big one.

The Pirates’ quarterback rolled left, then right, before calling his own number. Trivillion broke multiple tackles and powered his way into the end zone for a Pass Christian touchdown.

The score gave the Pirates a 27-13 lead at halftime. Pass Christian then took complete control in the second half, pulling away from the Tornadoes and finishing with a 55-19 win.

The victory moves the Pirates to 2-0 on the season. Pass Christian will look to remain unbeaten next week when it hosts PCS.
