9/15 – Jeff’s “VERY Nice Changes” Final Weekend of Summer Forecast
Expect mostly clear skies overnight with a mild, but muggy start to your Saturday. Tomorrow will be much like earlier today with cloud cover building through the day. Your Saturday will feature partly cloudy skies and 20% rain chances for the afternoon. A cold front will finally make its way through the region.
The front will bring nice changes for the second half of the weekend. Clouds will clear out early Sunday and drier air will filter in. Hot temperatures will feel tolerable because of the lack of humidity. The nice changes will stick around into the new week with cooler starts in the 60s, tons of sunshine, and tolerable heat. Humidity and rain chances return by the end of the week.
In the tropics, it remains busy. However, there are no threats to the Mississippi Coast for the next 7 – 10 days. Lee will impact portions of New England and Atlantic Canada tonight through the weekend. Tropical Depression 15 has formed and it will move northwest, intensifying into a major hurricane as it does so. This is the time of year tropical waves track farther south and it’s important to watch what comes into the Caribbean Sea.
