4/3 – Jeff’s “Muggy” Monday Evening Forecast
Some direct sunlight allowed for temperatures to warm into the 80s for a lot of the area today. Tonight, abundant moisture in the low-levels will allow for clouds to build, then lower. Some fog could develop by daybreak. It will be mild, and humidity will be plentiful with a very muggy feel for our area overnight.
Tomorrow will be much like today with clearing skies through the second half of the day. A warm pattern and direct sunlight will provide for more of the same temperatures. Changes arrive for the middle to latter portion of the week with a system moving through the middle of the U.S. Direct impacts will stay well north until a cold front is draped across South Mississippi towards the end of the week.
The front will outrun its upper-level support and stall near our area. This will lead to much more in the way of cloud coverage Thursday and Friday. Elevated rain chances will be around the area late this week into the weekend. There will be dry time, but it is a bit far out to speculate on when batches of energy riding the front will provide for rainfall.
