8/9 – Payton’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

TS FRANKLIN is currently  moving across the Bay of Campeche…poised to make landfall after midnight along E’tern Mexico as a category one hurricane.

Very isolated activity across the area this afternoon as a stationary front along the Mississippi Gulf Coast stretching west to east will continue to linger in the region through the rest of the workweek. This area will be a focal point for daily activity through Friday with when a cold front will begin to move into the area for the weekend.

Slow moving activity could provide for efficient rain makers on a daily basis headlining into the weekend. Temperatures will be right around to slightly below normal, but with all of the moisture it will feel like the upper 90s to lower 100s.
