8/21 – Payton Monday Evening Forecast

The solar eclipse of 2017 has come and gone, but left some neat things to look at! The moisture was on the return into the area today, along with a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico, which is moving our way. This means shower and thunderstorms for the remainder of this week. Along with the rain temperatures will be just slightly below normal in the upper 80s. The tropics continue to heat up as the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey try to get reorganized, but it looks like this system will not affect South Mississippi. Another disturbance nearing Florida continues to be watched as well, but it also appears this will be no immediate threat to South Mississippi. We will keep an eye on things ,and bring you updates as needed. Have a wonderful evening!
