8/4 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast

Going into tonight we have showers and t-storms just off shore and to the northeast. The offshore t-storms should stay just offshore, but you’ll definitely hear thunder if you’re near the coast. Overnight the best shot of seeing a t-storm will be along the coast and out into the water. Monday will see decent rain chances during the afternoon, but a few t-storms are possible near the coast Monday morning. The same for Tuesday and Wednesday with a few t-storms likely during the afternoon. By Thursday and Friday upper level ridging builds in from the west and that means decreasing rain chances. It’ll be in the lower 90s each afternoon with lows in the mid 70s during the morning.

TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
