8/30 – Rob’s “Friday-Eve” Wet Forecast

Much like yesterday, expect numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop across the forecast area.

A few t-storms could be SEVERE with heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning being the main threats.

This wet pattern should continue through the rest of the week and into the weekend. The Bermuda high will continue to keep onshore flow and moisture into the area.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Going into the weekend a plume of deep tropical moisture feeding in from the southern Gulf and Caribbean will also accompany an inverted trough. The combination of ample available moisture and daytime heating will create enough instability to fire off scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms each day. Will have to keep an eye on the potential of some localized flooding due to the ample moisture and relatively slow movement expected of the storms.
