8/20 – Rob Knight’s Workweek Forecast

A front is on its way. It can be seen moving southeast through Oklahoma and north Texas this morning. Once it reaches Louisiana, the front will slow up considerably and finally make its way to the coast by Tuesday. Mid-level dry air moves in ahead of this front causing precip values to fall overnight tonight for most areas. This will help drop precip chances just a bit. But there will still be some showers/t-storms develop along the boundary as it moves into the area Tuesday.

A reinforcing surge of dry air comes in to force the front into the gulf Wed morning per models. Confidence is high that this will take place, exactly when is in question.

Regardless, the dry air behind the front and upper 80s to lower 90s temps will be a nice change…with LOWER HUMIDITY.
