Very slight rain chances come back into the forecast starting Wednesday, and any showers & storms that develop will be isolated and during the afternoon hours. Rain chances go up even more toward the weekend with temperatures staying in the lower 90s for afternoon highs.

There is still an area of low pressure in the Atlantic about 4,500 miles from the Gulf Coast. It is expected to develop into a tropical system over the next five days. Right now it is not a threat for South Mississippi, but we will keep a close eye on it as it gets its act together over the next week.
