7/28 – Jeff’s “Very HOT, Unsettled At Times” Weekend Forecast
Any isolated thunderstorms this evening will be out of the picture by around sunset. Skies will clear out overnight leaving us with sunny skies to start the weekend. It will become very hot tomorrow with humid conditions building back in. Your Saturday will feature hot conditions in quick order. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 AM until 7 PM. This will likely hold true into much of next week as well.
Clouds will increase into the afternoon bringing a 30% chance of thunderstorms for the area. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning can be expected with some activity. Sunday could bring more thunderstorm activity in the afternoon as compared to Saturday. But, dangerous heat is going to be the main issue into next week. Temperatures will soar into the upper-90s at times and it will feel like the 110s.
Thunderstorm chances will be around during the afternoon each day. One exception to this may be energy in the form of thunderstorm complexes at some points early next week. Be sure to take extra care with the heat. Limit outdoor activities, hydrate, wear loose-fitting clothing, and take frequent breaks. In the tropics, a disturbance in the eastern Atlantic Ocean has a 40% chance of development. It should curve out to sea but we will keep an eye on it.
