7/23 – Payton’s Monday Afternoon Forecast

A few light showers this morning have cleared out of the area, but the humidity will stick around. We have a weak frontal boundary to the south of the area, which should keep most of the activity this afternoon and evening over the water, but we could see a few develop as we get the sea breeze going. The best chance for rain will be in far southeastern Louisiana.

It will still be hot today, but not expecting heat index values to reach Heat Advisory levels.

The rain chances will remain very very low through Wednesday and temperatures will remain hot. We get back into the more typical summertime pattern on Thursday and going into the weekend. Expect a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms, and hot and humid conditions.

TROPICS: There is no tropical development expected over the next five days.
