7/22 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
After one of the hottest weekend we’ve seen in a while, it will finally start to get back to normal conditions. This is all thinks to a “cold” front moving through the area thanks to a low pressure system near the Carolinas. Rain chances will start to go up tonight, and tomorrow for your Monday. A few storms could be on strong side especially in our Western Counties and into Louisiana. Going into Tuesday and Wednesday northerly flow will introduce drier air into the region, which means rain chances will go down, and skies will be mostly sunny. It’s still going to be hot and humid. Highs will be in the lower 90s and heat indices will feel like the lower 100s. Thursday and into the weekend we slowly get back into the summertime pattern with afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
